PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: First glimpse at Lindsay Lohan's $16,800-a-month Soho apartment - and it's all thanks to Oprah!

When the troubled star moved into her new posh digs in trendy Soho in October, it was unclear just who was shelling out for the three-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex, which is pictured for the first time today.

But a source close to the star has confirmed the flame-haired actress, 27, is living it up in NYC courtesy of Oprah while she films a documentary for the TV legend's OWN network, saying: 'It's exactly the same as if the network was paying for a film set. Lindsay is filming in the apartment, so it's all part of the deal.

The first glimpse at the sprawling apartment, which is situated on one of Soho's most popular streets, shows off white walls and minimalist touches, with simple furniture and high ceilings.
Lindsay and her mother Dina were spotted outside the property - alongside a camera crew for the documentary, which is being produced for Oprah's OWN network by Pilgrim Studios under the helm of Amy Rice.
Lindsay - who in August sat down for an interview with Oprah - is said to have signed a $2million deal for the documentary, and a source confirmed: 'It's a multi-million dollar deal.'

Her father, Michael Lohan, added: 'Lindsay's not stressed out, she's living up to her obligations for the show and in her personal life.
'I just know all the footage is real and the footage that I know of shows Lindsay in a favorable light. Dina is not putting pressure on anyone.'
In September, TMZ reported that Lindsay was a 'disaster' at the beginning of the project, at times failing to show up - and alleged that Oprah, 59, had gone to her mother Dina's house on Long Island for a showdown.
It was claimed the broadcaster told Lindsay to either 'clean up her act or the project is over and Lindsay would not get her $2million paycheck.'
But the source said filming was progressing nicely and that it would likely be aired in April.

Oprah herself confessed to Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson that she had to confront the rehabbed starlet face to face to make sure she was serious about doing a show.
'There was a lot of chaos going on,' Oprah explained, 'So I went to have a conversation, a real conversation about that, to say to her, "Do you want to do it? Because if you don’t want to do it, that’s OK. We could just end it. We don’t have to do it,"'
'She said she wants to do it,' said Oprah. 'So let’s get to it. So I had that conversation.
I went to her house just to say, ‘What are you doing? Let’s get real here'.
'And… ‘This is what’s conflicting about it.’ Because it’s television and we stand to gain if it does well. But the real truth is – and anybody who knows me, certainly my producers on the way there – Sheri Salata was in the car – I said, ‘If I get here and Lindsay isn’t serious, I will shut this thing down today.’”
Lindsay, who left rehab in July, has already had a sit down interview with the legend. In August she sat across from the journalist, and admitted she had an Adderall and alcohol addiction.

Emotional: A teary-eyed Lindsay Lohan is interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in August. She told Oprah she had only done cocaine "10 to 15 times" and never really enjoyed snorting it. The attraction of the drug, she said, was that it allowed her to drink more.

But the drama does not stop there.
On Tuesday, the New York Daily News reported that Lindsay was embroiled in a row with an off-duty paparazzi while shoe-shopping in Soho on Sunday.
The photographer spotted Lohan being trailed by the Oprah Winfrey Network camera crew filming a reality show about the troubled actress.
As he started filming on his phone, he said the actress yelled 'You're invading my personal space.'
