Look at the Brits on that! UK models Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Lily Donaldson stand out on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway

Whilst the Victoria’s Secret Angels from around the world wowed on the catwalk on Wednesday, there was certainly a standout performance from the British models on show.

Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, and Lily Donaldson, all worked their magic as they represented the UK in their own distinct way.

During the 'British Invasion' section of the show - that saw Taylor Swift sing in a Union Jack outfit - the UK models stood out from the crowd.

Taylor - who turns 24 next month - paraded her lean 5ft 10in frame in the paint-splattered costume and matching open-toe booties.

 o AP, faux snow fell on the packed audience in the Lexington Avenue Armory, which was also decorated with British banners.

Fall Out Boy, indie-pop band A Great Big World, and UK girl-group Neon Jungle also performed during the section.

Some British references were subtle, while others - like Kasia Struss in a policeman's outfit - were a bit more obvious.
Cara showed off her incredible legs as she sashayed along the runway in a silk pantsuit holding an English football with the Victoria's Secret logo across it.
Lily Donaldson also looked quintessential British in a pinstripe outfit, bowler hat and a matching umbrella.

Whipping them both into shape though was the gorgeous Jourdan Dunn who appeared to be the ringmaster in leather gloves and knee-high boots.
Meanwhile, Cara has certainly earned a reputation across the globe as a British 'it' girl - and has often been linked to Taylor's ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.
It seems Cara is also looking to become a real British institution as she revealed recently that she would like to play a Bond girl.She revealed: 'A Bond girl would be fun. Are you kidding?! I'd do it.'

After smaller acting parts in Anna Karenina and Kids In Love, Cara was recently in Italy to prepare for her biggest role to date.
Cara will play young English woman Melanie in new film The Face of An Angel, in which she will star alongside Rush star Daniel Bruhl and Total Recall actress Kate Beckinsale.

She met her castmates in Siena for a read through of the script, in which her character meets filmmaker Thomas (played by Daniel), who is going through a mid-life crisis as he prepares to make a picture about the murder of a British student in Tuscany.

Cara said: 'The idea I had of her is that she's like me and a lot of my friends who are 21, and traveling around Europe.'

And Cara enjoys the discipline of her new profession so much, she even enjoys going to auditions.
She said: 'Even for scripts that aren't very good. If I'm honest, I don't care what it is. It's an opportunity to learn. I wouldn't turn anything down. It's all good experience.'

The catwalk superstar said she is also taking an Italian cultural course, adding: 'This part is a perfect excuse to learn Italian. I've picked up very little, but I'd like to learn more.'
