I was a naughty kid': Liam Hemsworth admits to Jimmy Fallon he played with guns and now uses knives for entertainment

Liam Hemsworth revealed just how rough and tumble his childhood was when he stopped by Jimmy Fallon's Late Night show on Thursday.
The Hunger Games actor said he and his older brothers Luke and Chris grew up with guns and swords - and would use them on each other regularly.
'I was a naughty kid,' the 23-year old confessed.

The actor - who looked dashing in a dark suit with a blue shirt and grey tie - went on to describe a violent upbringing in his native Australia.
'We had a lot of weapons growing up,' he explained. 'For some reason my grandpa felt it necessary to constantly give us new weapons, like Ninja stars, wooden swords, air riffles, the ones that shoot lead pellets, which is worse than a BB gun.'
Often they would use each other as target practice.

'My dad worked for child protection,' said the former boyfriend of Miley Cyrus.
'My dad was saving other kids, but you come to our house and you're probably going to get shot with a BB gun.'
Liam wasn't the only one doing the shooting. 'My oldest brother Luke came up to me one day with an air riffle and said, "Run,"' he said as the crowd laughed.
After pleading with him to not shoot, Liam said Luke just pressed on. 'He said, "It's going to hurt this close,"' and that made the young looker take off.
When he got hit with a pellet, he said, 'It was like that moment in Platoon' as he fell down in agony.

The looker also said he now likes to play with knives.
After showing Jimmy a bruise on his pinky from a knife mishap, the Last Song star explained how it all happened.
'I was in London, the first stop of the Hunger Games press tour, and I wanted to impress everyone at dinner. I had a couple of drinks,' said the star who described how he took out a knife and started pounding it down between his fingers to show the group how agile he was with the weapon. But he missed and hit his pinkie. He then held his little finger up for the cameras to see the injury.
'It was a $100,000 table too,' he said of the piece of furniture he damaged. 'I was like, "I'm not paying for that table."'

As far as knife play, Liam explained he used to practice in school with a pen.
'I used to do it a lot in science class in high school. So I used a pen. Then you work your way up to a knife,' he admitted.
Liam then showed how he did it, but used a Sharpee.
Jimmy then challenged Liam to a race, which he said he also did when his brother Chris was on the show.
Liam strapped on a beer helmet when he got on his cart and after he won, got to hold the Hemsworth trophy, something his Thor star brother also did.
Sadly, Liam admitted he hardly ever hangs out with his brothers anymore.
'We sometimes go six months to a year without seeing each other,' he admitted.
This week news broke that Liam's brother Chris is expecting his second child with wife Elsa Pataky.
'At the moment Chris is quite skinny and vulnerable,' Liam said. Chris has lost weight for a film role.
'I feel responsible for him, because he's like a little child,' he added.
Though he did not bring up Miley, Liam - who looked handsome next to Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks at the Wednesday Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere - did recently tell the Associated Press he was just fine.
'These days I feel like I’m more centered and grounded than I’ve ever been,' he said.
And, of course, he praised his co-star yet again.
'For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment,' he confessed.
'But being around someone like [Jennifer Lawrence], who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m much happier.'
