On Sunday 10th November 2013, the 2013 Africa International Film Festival kicked off with a splendid opening ceremony in Calabar.
Present at the cocktail party were CEO AFRIFF Chioma Ude, Hollywood star Lynn Whitfield as well as Demond
Elliot, Rita Dominic, Kunle Afolayan, Lydia Forson, Chioma
Chukwuka-Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Gbenro Ajibade, Lilian Esoro, OC Ukeje,
Linda Ejiofor, Uru Eke and Kemi “Lala” Akindoju.
Later at the FilmHouse Lakes Side in Tinapa, a movie – Of Good Report – which was banned from the opening of the Durban Film Festival, was screened.
